Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effect of work environment and motivation on employee performance at PT. Citra Elektrindo Mandiri, Panongan Tangerang. This research uses descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were employees of PT. Citra Elektrindo Mandiri with a total of 120 employees. The sampling technique used was based on calculations from the Slovin formula with a tolerable error rate of 10% with a significance of 90%, namely a sample of 55 employees was obtained. The research instrument used a questionnaire with data processing using SPPS version 23. Based on the results of the t test obtained on the work environment variable (X1) on employee performance (Y), it has a value of t count = 7.320> t table = 2.0066 with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The t test results obtained on the motivation variable (X2) on employee performance (Y) are having a value of t count = 2.523> t table = 2.0066 with a significant level of 0.015 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the f test, the value of f count 32.199 > 3.18 f table and significant for the work environment (X1) and motivation (X2) is 0.000 <0.05. So, it can be concluded that the work environment variable (X1) and motivation (X2) together (simultaneously) have a significant effect on the employee performance variable (Y) so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination test, the results of this study indicate that the independent variables, namely work environment (X1) and motivation (X2) simultaneously and significantly influence the dependent variable of employee performance (Y) with an effect value of 55,3%, while the remaining 44,7% is influenced by other variables.
